The Tomb of Apostle Philip in Hierapolis (Pamukkale)

Philip the Apostle, one of Jesus’ twelve disciples, is traditionally believed to have been martyred in Pamukkale Hierapolis while preaching the Gospel in Asia Minor. In 2011, archaeologists discovered a tomb in Pamukkale Hierapolis thought to be linked to the apostle, making the ancient city an important Christian pilgrimage site.
