We enjoyed our tour with Ertunga and appreciated his knowledge of Ephesus. Day was rather warm and Ertunga knew all the shady spots where we could rest while hearing about ancient Ephesian life and legends. We visited Ephesus on a day when there were several cruise ships in port and notices many large (30 – 50) tour groups. It was so much nicer to experience the city in a small group.

Tour included visits to Virgin Mary’s house, ancient Ephesus ruins, the Terrace houses (our favorite), and St. John’s Basilica.

Lunch was a fixed menu of fresh local food on an outdoor porch of Turkish restaurant. We enjoyed it along with some Turkish beer.

Ertunga was quite accommodating and was happy to modify tours to suit our needs.
