Ertunga met us at the port of Kusadasi for our tour of Ephesus and Basilica of St. John. Ertunga spoke very good English and his knowledge of Ephesus was outstanding. Of course, being on a cruise we were there at the height of the crowds, but Ephesus and the Terrace Houses are a must see. From there he found us a great Turkish lunch spot, at a carpet factory, but we were not interested in the demo so were not pressured into watching it. From there we went to the Basilica of St. John, high up on a hill top with outstanding views of the valley below. Again, Ertunga’s knowledge of the area met our expectations. From there I requested to take in the view from Ataturk Hill where many cruise ship tourist don’t know about. It was a spectacular view of Kusadasi and the cruise ship port. Ertunga made our day very memorable and I would recommend him to anyone visiting the Kusadasi and surrounding area.
